Understanding Units
Units are calculated based on the type of accommodations you offer. This formula reflects the revenue potential of different property types.
Unit Calculation
| Accommodation Type | Units Per | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Private room (hotel, B&B, inn) | 5 units per room | 6 rooms = 30 units |
| Dorm bed (hostel) | 1 unit per bed | 30 beds = 30 units |
| Vacation rental listing | 10 units per property | 3 listings = 30 units |
Formula
Total units = (Private rooms x 5) + (Dorm beds x 1) + (Vacation rental listings x 10)
Examples
Tiny bed and breakfast with 3 private rooms:
- 3 rooms x 5 = 15 units (Solo plan)
Small bed and breakfast with 6 private rooms:
- 6 rooms x 5 = 30 units (Starter plan)
Hostel with 10 private rooms and 20 dorm beds:
- (10 x 5) + (20 x 1) = 70 units (Growth plan)
Boutique hotel with 35 rooms:
- 35 rooms x 5 = 175 units (Professional plan)
Mixed property with 20 hotel rooms and 5 vacation rental listings:
- (20 x 5) + (5 x 10) = 150 units (Professional plan)
Your unit count is calculated automatically when you set up your rooms. You can see your current usage on the Settings > Billing page.

Choosing the Right Plan

- Calculate your units using the formula above
- Pick the plan that covers your total units
If you are close to a plan limit and plan to add more rooms soon, consider choosing the next plan up for room to grow.
