Viewing the Activity Log

Open the Activity Log

Go to Settings > Activity Log from the sidebar.

Browse Recent Activity

The log shows the most recent actions first. Each entry includes:

  • Who -- The staff member who performed the action
  • What -- A description of the action taken
  • When -- The exact date and time
  • Details -- Additional context (which room, which booking, etc.)

Filtering the Log

Use filters to find specific activity quickly.

Filter by Staff Member

See only actions performed by a particular team member:

  1. Click the Staff dropdown at the top of the log
  2. Select one or more staff members
  3. The log updates to show only their actions

Filter by Action Type

Narrow down to specific kinds of activity:

  1. Click the Action Type dropdown
  2. Choose from categories like Bookings, Rooms, Channels, Settings, or Login
  3. The log updates to show only matching actions

Filter by Date

Look at activity from a specific time period:

  1. Click the Date Range picker
  2. Select a start and end date
  3. The log shows only actions within that window

You can combine filters. For example, show only booking changes made by a specific staff member during last week.

Security Monitoring

The activity log is a powerful tool for keeping your property secure.

What to Watch For

  • Unusual login times -- Staff logging in at unexpected hours
  • Failed login attempts -- Multiple failed logins could indicate unauthorized access attempts
  • Bulk changes -- Large numbers of modifications in a short time
  • Rate changes -- Unexpected rate modifications that could affect revenue
  • Staff changes -- Unauthorized role escalations or new invitations

Regular Security Reviews

We recommend reviewing the activity log at least weekly:

  1. Check for any unfamiliar activity or actions you did not expect
  2. Verify that rate and availability changes were intentional
  3. Confirm that staff access matches current team members
  4. Look for failed login attempts that might indicate security issues

If you notice suspicious activity, change your password immediately and remove any staff accounts that may be compromised. Contact Synoveo support if you need help.

Log Retention

Activity log entries are retained for the duration of your subscription. You always have access to your complete history.
